Welcome!

Hey there everyone, my name is Marquez Griffin and I am a Notary Signing Agent!

Notary - A notary performs notarial acts that are allowed or required by law. A notary is a verifier, an authenticator, an impartial agent for the state, a public recorder of acts, and an unbiased, official witness. In other words, you identify individuals, witness signatures and notarize documents with a stamp.

Notary Signing Agent - A Notary Signing Agent is an Individual that is commissioned as a Notary in their state, who took an extra step to familiarize themselves with Loan documents. So the primary focus of this course is to familiarize yourself with loan docs, how to present loan docs, and ways to get more clients.

Requirements - Each state varies on the requirements for a notary, but normally there are very minimal requirements.

Typically, you need 1.) to be at least 18 years old 2.) Be a current resident in your state 3.) Complete a course that is approved by your state (If they require it) 4.) Clear a background check.  For more on this I highly recommend looking in 2 areas.

1. Your Secretary of State Website for the State you live in which tells you the laws and requirements for becoming a Notary.

2. Look up the National Notary Association (NNA) which has courses online for you to become a notary and then become a Notary Signing Agent. Link: https://www.nationalnotary.org/knowledge-center/about-notaries/how-to-become-a-notary-public

This course will not make you a certified notary or notary signing agent!
